SmoothPrints Gang Sheet Builder – FAQ
1) What is a gang sheet?
A gang sheet is one large transfer sheet where you place multiple designs together and print them all at once. It’s the most cost-efficient way to order transfers for several projects or customers.
2) How does the Gang Sheet Builder work?
Upload your art, then resize, duplicate, rotate, and arrange it on the sheet. When you check out, we print exactly what you built—no surprise changes.
3) What sizes are available?
Popular sizes: 22×24, 22×36, 22×48 inches (22" width is industry-standard). Choose your sheet size before uploading.
4) What file types & specs do you accept?
Best: PNG with transparent background, 300 DPI at final print size
Also good: SVG, PDF (vectors ideal)
Color: RGB is fine; we’ll handle print conversion. Exact Pantone matching isn’t guaranteed.
Minimum details: Keep thin lines ≥ 1 pt (~0.35 mm) and text ≥ 10–12 pt for best legibility.
Max file size: Keep each file reasonably sized (large, lossless PNGs are okay; avoid screenshots).
5) Can I mix different designs on one sheet?
Yes! Place as many designs as you want within the sheet boundary.
6) Do you fix low-quality artwork?
We print exactly what you upload. If your file is blurry, pixelated, or has an unwanted background, it will print that way. Please upload clean, high-resolution files. Need help? Email orders@smoothprints.shop.
7) How do I know if my designs fit?
Use the builder’s ruler/grid. Leave ~0.25" (6 mm) spacing between designs so you can cut them easily.
8) What colors can I use?
Unlimited. DTF handles full color, gradients, small details, and photo-quality images.
9) Do you print white ink?
Yes. Every transfer includes a white underbase so colors pop on light and dark garments.
10) How do I press the transfers?
Temp: 300–325°F (149–163°C)
Time: 10–15 seconds
Pressure: Medium–firm (good, even pressure is critical)
Peel: Quick peel – wait ~4 seconds, then peel hot
Second press (recommended): 5–7 seconds with parchment or Teflon for best durability and hand
11) What fabrics work best?
100% cotton, cotton/poly blends, and polyester all press great. For heat-sensitive poly, start at 300°F and test.
12) How long do transfers last?
When properly applied, our transfers are wash-tested for 50+ washes while maintaining color and vibrancy.
13) Care instructions (for your end customer):
Wash inside-out, cold. No bleach or fabric softeners. Tumble low or hang dry. Wait 24 hours after pressing before the first wash. Do not iron directly on the print.
14) Can I reorder the same gang sheet?
Yes. Save your sheet in the builder and we can reprint the exact setup anytime.
15) What’s the turnaround time?
Most orders ship in 1–2 business days. Rush options are available. (We print in Northern California—fast West-coast shipping.)
16) What if I make a mistake in the builder?
Please double-check before checkout. We print what you submit and can’t guarantee changes after payment. If you notice an issue, email us ASAP at orders@smoothprints.shop.
17) Shipping & packaging
Sheets are packed flat or rolled in protective packaging to arrive press-ready.
18) Returns & reprints
If there’s a print defect or damage in transit, contact orders@smoothprints.shop within 7 days with photos and your order number. We’ll make it right fast.
